My place to be creative

City & Guilds Patchwork and Quilting

In this activity I was asked to take a photo of my choice and to then break it down into areas of colour and to interpret this in fabric using a grid of triangles.  The whole piece is just under 5ā€ in size.  This made me look hard to judge the proportions of colour.  This activity also satisfied my need to move things on from reality to the abstract.  Although the base grid was triangles this can be moved onto other shapes as seen in the piece, including hexagons, diamonds and any variation on a triangle.
