My place to be creative

City and Guilds Sketchbook

Above is my final assessment piece for a City and Guilds qualification.  The inspiration for which came from a visit I made to the Chateau at Fontainebleau, architecturally there has been a great deal of alteration over the years offering vast amounts of visual stimulus.  I could work for years just from this one place.  Since completing this qualification I have changed the way I work completely, freeing myself up from the constraints of the awarding body’s requirements which can restrict in some instances the outcomes, an excellent experience overall, well worth the cost.  I worked on this qualification by distance learning, this can be a difficult way to learn unless you are focused and fully committed.  I took a while to finish this course as I took a foundation course in Art & Design at the same time – I passed with merit.
